About Hughenden Consulting

Hughenden is a specialist consultancy, focused on the processes of Supply Chain Planning. We are experts in a very specific field of Supply Chain, specialising in Sales Forecasting, Inventory Optimisation, Production Planning & Scheduling, Materials Planning and Sales & Operations Planning − all the areas that are recognised as critical contributors to the financial performance of a business.

We have long−term partnerships with our clients, helping them, through a combination of consultancy and education, to institute continuous and sustained change. We believe that Supply Chain Planning is an area where change takes place over a period of time, not as a result of a report.

We offer a unique mix of consulting and education − all hands on, and all about seeing the client through to the end of a successful and effective project.

We are able to provide a consistent service in both consultancy and education in English, French, Spanish and German, and have so far provided our services in 25 different countries.

Yes, the job detail is quite long and detailed, but our job is to be helpful and effective − and we approach recruitment in the same way!

Below are details of our current opening(s), if you would like to apply, or would just like to have an initial chat, please just give us a ring or email us on:

Job Title: Account Director

Key objectives of the role:

At Hughenden, we pride ourselves on having a flexible team that can actively participate in the multiple and varied projects that we undertake.

As such we welcome people with varied backgrounds and experience, with a mix of knowledge and practical experience.

The key objective for the Account Director is to help facilitate the growth of the Hughenden business. This comprises a mix of responsibilities, from developing relationships with senior individuals at the companies we work with (primarily Tier 1 manufacturers) in order to increase company revenue, and actively participating in the projects that we do for these clients.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate for this varied role will have a varied background − underpinned by a thorough knowledge and practical experience of the selling and implementation of Supply Chain Planning services. Any additional languages spoken would be a big plus.

This could be a background as a supply chain planning consultant and/or educator, combined with an aptitude for building relationships with key people across a large organisation regardless or role or executive level.

The ability to spot opportunities from existing projects is key, both to growing our business, but also to help us provide maximum value to our clients. You’ll need to be enthusiastic and passionate about supply chain and customer service, and be an open, honest and effective communicator.

Perhaps you have been a freelance consultant, used to generating your own business, or part of a project management team in a larger organisation, where you have carried a business development quota.

So what does a typical Hughenden project look like?

Why don’t you get in touch to view one of our customer case studies? That would give you a great view into who we are and how we work, and one that is the best kind − the view direct from our clients!

Taking a good look around our website should give you an idea of the topics we cover.

Essentially, we help our clients decide what to do, how to do it, and then help them do it.
